Naval War College Monterey Honors Top JPME Graduates

The Naval War College (NWC) Monterey program for Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) recognized students earning academic honors during the winter quarter of Academic Year 2019, May 7.
Graduates earning ‘with Highest Distinction’ honors by completing the JPME program in the top five percent of their class are Army Majs. Jesse B. Burnette and Travers Doane, Army Cpt. Reed G. Timme, Navy Lt. Cmdr. Adam G. Hilliard and Navy Lt. Mark R. Kendrick.
Graduates earning ‘with Distinction’ honors by completing the JPME program in the top 15 percent of their class are Navy Lt. Cmdrs. Laura G. Anderson and Tony T. Le; Navy Lts. Thomas P. MacNeil, Jeremy A. Oliver and Stephen Tynes; Coast Guard Lt. Cmdr. Joseph Haynsworth; Army Majs. Michael V. Dipietro, Steven J. Wax and William G. Whittaker; Army Cpts. Thomas A. Dimiero, Keith D. Edmonds, Jonathan P. Hawkins, Andrew S. Hines, Kimberly A. Janicek and Tad E. Pugh; and, Marine Corps Maj. Craig A. Thompson.
“It has been a great opportunity to work with all the services here at the Naval Postgraduate School and I feel very fortunate to have this education and experience,” said Army Maj. Michael V. Dipietro. “I’m looking forward to bringing this education back to the operational force.”
Through the NPS-NWC partnership, a total of 5,269 officers have earned their JPME Phase I certification since the program’s inception in September 1999.
