The NPS Hall of Fame recognizes the accomplishments of NPS' most distinguished alumni and friends who, through the attainment of positions at the highest levels of public service, have made the greatest contributions to society, their nations and to the Naval Postgraduate School.

Dr. Jack R. Borsting served the Naval Postgraduate School in several capacities over his distinguished career in academia and federal service. Dr. Borsting joined the faculty of NPS’ Department of Operations Research in 1959, where he remained for 15 years before becoming university Provost in 1974

The NPS Distinguished Alumni Award Program recognizes an alumnus/alumna of the Naval Postgraduate School who has made a distinguished contribution to a branch of learning associated with national security, has rendered distinguished service to some aspect of national security, or has made a distinguished professional achievement which reflects great credit on the recipient and NPS.

Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory (NSMRL) held a change of command ceremony topside of the world’s first nuclear submarine USS Nautilus (SSN-571) at the Submarine Force Library and Museum, Naval Submarine Base New London, Aug. 6.
NORFOLK, Va. (Aug. 17, 2018) - Lt. Cmdr. Jon Wende, Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command, communications and information systems department head, renews his wedding vows with his wife, Ana, during his retirement ceremony onboard the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75).
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - A Battle Creek native is expected to be the city's new fire chief. City Manager Rebecca Fleury said Wednesday she has selected Brian Sturdivant, the deputy chief of Petersburg, Virginia, and made him a conditional offer to succeed Dave Schmaltz, who resigned in April.
The City of Corona is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Young as the City’s new Fire Chief, effective August 10, 2018. Chief Young joins Corona with twenty-eight (28) years of fire service with the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA).
