ITT Leisure Fair Introduces NPS Personnel to the Local Community
By MC1 Lewis Hunsaker
More than 450 students, family members, and guests attend the Sixth Annual Naval Support Activity Monterey (NSAM) Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) leisure fair outside the Dudley Knox Library, July 6.
The fair introduces students and families to a variety of community programs, student-run clubs, and MWR services and activities that are available to them.
"Today is our sixth annual leisure fair, this event is designed to give back to our military and their families and to show them that we are here to support them," said Community Recreation Manager Nichole Wright. "We also invited the public in to advertise and promote what they doing in the area.”
In all, there were 65 vendors on hand to provide information, coupons, discounts, and prizes for those in attendance.
“The vendors and attendance were stronger, this year than last and we hope this event will continue to grow each year. It’s about building morale for all of our military and their families,” concluded Wright.
